Mike is a sales consultant for the state of Florida and managed to have a strong year, in spite of the many pandemic-related obstacles standing in his way.
A Strong Sales Background
Mike joined Pye-Barker Fire in February 2019 with a strong background in sales and management. He has experience working for companies like CVS, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, and Citywide Janitorial, and had prior industry experience from his position with Cintas as a Fire Protection Specialist. During his time with Cintas, he achieved high accolades, including hitting President’s Club in 2013. He brought all this experience with him when he joined the Pye-Barker Fire sales team.
Setting and Reaching GoalsMike chose Pye-Barker Fire as he wanted to work for a company he could be proud to represent. When he started, his goal was to be the number one sales professional in the company, “nothing less”.
To achieve this, he implemented a multi-step process for acquiring new customers. It starts with a pre-call, then a site visit to gather data and prepare a targeted presentation. After presenting, he would call to discuss money and terms, send the proposal, and finally secure the sale.
“Businesses are primarily looking for a company that is competent and cares about their customers,” shared Mike, which is why he stresses our customer support and qualifications at every pitch.
Keeping the Momentum GoingAfter a successful 2020, Mike plans to keep his momentum going. His goals for this year include being the top monthly sales professional and selling a specific amount in revenue. He hopes to achieve this through consistency, hard work, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
