PBFS Covington is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer/Project Manager for their growing branch.  Candidate requirements/preferences include:
  • NICET Level II Certification GREATLY PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of/experience with Hydratec/HydraCad Design, Calculation, and Stocklisting Programs greatly preferred, individuals with AutoCAD experience will be considered as well

Dalton, GA - Lead Hood Cleaning Technician

PBFS Dalton is hiring a Lead Hood Cleaning Technician for their cleaning division. We are a rapidly expanding company and always looking for highly-motivated members to join our team to better serve our growing customer base. This is a challenging, critical job and is an entry level position into fire protection and life safety services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Power wash commercial kitchen exhaust systems to include hoods, duct work, filters and exhaust fans per company and industry standards while protecting customers’ facility and equipment
  • Meet the cleaning standards as outlined in NFPA 96
  • Report results of work completed as well as pictures in an accurate and timely manner
  • Protect and maintain company equipment
  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driver safety and personal protective equipment
Qualifications and/or Experience:
  • Experience in commercial cleaning preferred but not necessary. We will train
  • A valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record
  • Satisfactory results in a company mandated criminal background check and drug test
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Physically fit, able to lift and carry 50 lbs, able to climb a ladder

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on position that is responsible for assisting the Inspection Coordinator with the scheduling and execution of building fire alarm and life safety system inspections. Assistance may also be needed in creating building account information for new accounts and generating the proper paperwork (Fire Alarm Inspection Reports, and Inspection Certificates etc.) for the pending inspections. Duties will include assuring that scheduled inspections are executed and recorded according to NFPA & local AHJ codes, as well as the contracted services for each assigned customer property, which will entail the manual testing of devices, recording and generating results and providing reports. The Lead Inspector would also be responsible for any Inspectors working under their supervision and any tools or equipment assigned to them.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least three+ years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry.
  • Have above average customer service and interpersonal skills, in addition to demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to effectively work within a team environment
  • Must possess NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Technology, and/or pursue and obtain Level II within first year of role; or, have equivalent industry experience.
  • A college degree is preferred, however a high school diploma or equivalent is required along with adequate experience.
  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally require evening, after-hours, weekend, or out-of-town inspections.
  • Demonstrate solid PC skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PDA’s.
  • Proficiency using test equipment to include: sensitivity testing equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters and communication devices.
  • Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record that meets Mitec’s insurance company requirements
  • Must be able to regularly climb a six-foot and on occasion taller ladder.
  • Able to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs. and ability to climb ladders, use lifts and scaffolding to include performing work in unusual and sometimes difficult locations such as ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
  • Must have a professional appearance, attitude, and ability to communicate with customers at all levels.

This position is a business-to-business (B2B) role responsible for selling inspection and service contracts in the commercial real estate market with a focus on Class-A Office buildings. The sales process includes managing the entire sales cycle including prospecting, proposing, follow up and selling of all services in the fire alarm, access, and video markets. Duties include assisting both the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager in fulfilling the requirements for system testing and generating all required paperwork and/or electronic reports to satisfy NFPA, local authority, jurisdictional, and customer requirements. Seeking an experienced fire alarm and/or special hazards technician. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
  • Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes.
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm panels, devices, special hazard detection & controls and critical components including but not limited to checking agent pressures, cylinder weights, pressure switches and electronic control heads.
