PBFS Covington is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer/Project Manager for their growing branch.  Candidate requirements/preferences include:

  • NICET Level II Certification GREATLY PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of/experience with Hydratec/HydraCad Design, Calculation, and Stocklisting Programs greatly preferred, individuals with AutoCAD experience will be considered as well
  • Industry experience a plus but not required
Job duties will include designing fire sprinkler systems for new construction and overseeing the installation of the designed systems.  A typical day will include office work and site visits, working with current office staff and technicians while overseeing projects, and regular customer service interaction as needed to discuss specifics of each project.

Atlanta, GA - Administrative Assistant

PBFS Atlanta is hiring a full-time office assistant to help the office manager and staff. The branch is fast-paced and needs someone who will not be overwhelmed by a busy environment.

Position overview:

  • Accountable for managing the flow and schedule of route-based service technicians. Communicating with field-technicians.
  • Reviews, processes and distributes all service work orders.
  • Ensures that technician runs are profitable and on track to meet department goals.
  • Enthusiastic, customer-focused team player with ability to perform in fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Responds to all customer requests for information or assistance. Maintain accurate customer information at all times.
  • Answer incoming calls on multiple phone lines and/or responding to emails in a professional manner
  • Maintain accurate records and documents customer service actions and discussions.
  • Work with administrative staff in coordinating incoming inspection reports and service paperwork
  • Assist with billing, AR, special projects, filing, etc and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills include:

  • Assertive personality with upbeat, positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail.
  • Communicating effectively, screening and prioritizing incoming calls. Strong analytical, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills
  • Good organization, discretion and independent judgment skills and ability to understand policies and procedures.
  • Flexible and willing to assist with coverage in other departments during fluctuations in volume, vacation coverage or leave of absence coverage and as required by business needs
  • Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office products. Intermediate (or higher) experience is required.
  • Ability to learn and utilize company software
  • AR Experience is a significant plus.
  • Assist with billing, filing, or other tasks as needed
High School Education or equivalent preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with prior administrative experience in a similar field/industry and solid work history. Opportunities for advancement.

Norcross, GA - Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazards Technician

Seeking an experienced fire alarm and/or special hazards technician. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes.
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm panels, devices, special hazard detection & controls and critical components including but not limited to checking agent pressures, cylinder weights, pressure switches and electronic control heads.
  • Able to perform testing and maintenance.
  • Able to complete documentation as necessary.
  • Able to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies. Including ability to understand special hazard room integrity and fan test procedures.
  • Able to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) and the general public.
  • Attend seminars from time to time to stay abreast of changing technology, installation and testing approaches specific to fire alarm manufacturer.
NICET II or NICET III is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered assuming individual pursues NICET education upon being hired. A minimum High School diploma or GED combined with technical or related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and minimum 3 years’ experience, is required.
