  • Familiarity with systems manufactured by Ansul, Pyro-Chem, Amerex, and Range Guard is a plus
  • Experience is required

Greeley, CO - Fire Suppression/Portables Tech

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to inspect, service, maintain, repair, and install portable and fixed fire extinguishing equipment, fire extinguishers, and fire suppression equipment.


  • Installs and performs routine inspection, maintenance, and repairs on various fire suppression equipment including kitchen hood and paint booth fire extinguishing systems
  • Inspects, installs, repairs, and/or replaces fire extinguishers
  • Inspects suppression systems for compliance with NFPA and local authority having jurisdiction
  • Performs on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression equipment
  • Monitors inventory and initiates requests for supplies, materials, and equipment
  • Requires use and working knowledge of specialized tools, equipment, and/or materials
  • Train, instruct, or review the work of entry level technicians
  • Develop and maintain service schedules
  • Conforms to safety standards as prescribed
  • Experience with servicing fire extinguishers and fire suppression equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driver's License
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety and suppression
  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work
  • Requires the ability to act in a lead capacity
  • Perform routine to moderately complex inspections, service, and repair of fire extinguishing equipment
  • Requires the ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs
  • Requires the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
  • Requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Requires the ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, medium equipment and machinery
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
